Recipe of the Month

Chocolate Non-Martini

This drink looks a lot like a chocolate martini, but it is made with white rum, so we call it a Non-Martini, but be sure to serve it in a martini glass! We thank Charles P. for this fun submission.

Ingredients

2 ounces white rum
1/2 ounce chocolate liqueur (such as Mozart ® or Godiva ®)
1/2 ounce white creme de cacao
Optional: Superfine sugar to dust the rim of the martini glass

Directions

If coating the glasses: Coat the rim of the martini glass with sugar by gently pressing the rim onto a clean, very damp tea towel, then dipping the rim into a shallow dish containing the sugar.
Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and strain into a martini glass, or make a double batch, stir vigorously with ice in a lovely martini pitcher, and strain into the prepared martini glasses.
